So Nick enrolled at UCLA and continued to live at home where he could look after and be close to the woman he loved. He never told Tina about all the offers and opportunities he'd turned down. What he didn't know was that she knew about every one of them and it broke her heart. But given the fact that she wasn't his mother and was a high school drop out to boot; who was she to say anything about it? She knew exactly why he turned them all down and she hated herself for it. With her heart now ramming so furiously that she was finding it hard to breathe and her stomach tying itself into so many knots that she felt horribly nauseous, Tina truly feared she might go into cardiac arrest.
