    time, the corporation believed in staying current with times. Michael Owens sat behind his desk. He was close to fifty, Tiffany was told, but she wasn’t sure of his age because while he didn’t look like he was just out of college, he had all his hair, none of which had on grey. Given his good looks, physical shape, and wealth, Tiffany assumed he could call his shots when it came to women. “Ms. James please come in and take a seat,” he said as he motioned to the empty leather chair in front of his desk. Sitting in the other chair was Emily Ashton. “Thank you Mr. Owens,” Tiffany said getting butterflies in her stomach as being in the presence of the CEO for an unknown reason began to get to her. When she sat, Emily Ashton stood up. “Hello Tiffany,” Ms. Ashton said in voice that was sweet, disappointed and condescending all at once. Tiffany got a good luck at Emily Ashton for a second and was taken aback. She always knew she was pretty but this was a different look. She normally let her hair out, but it was pulled back somewhat severely today. She also had on a very tight fitting black dress. It was cut low, revealing her cleavage and although her chest was not large, the bra she was wearing did an excellent job of accentuating its perfect shape. The dress itself was short, but not inappropriately so, and she also had on black nylons and heels.     Mr. Owens started, “Ms. James it has come to my attention that your work product is sub-par. By sub-par, I mean below what it is you are capable of. We expect every one of our employees to work to their full potential. Good enough to get by is not the way we work.” He grabbed a stack of papers, “I have your reviews here from the past nine months, and they all say the same thing, essentially – high potential but low output.” Turning to Miss Ashton, he said, “Miss Ashton is this fair summary.” “It is sir. I have tried to encourage Ms. James to apply herself on numerous occasions, both in formal and informal reviews. She either doesn’t know how to, or just ignores me. I am not sure which the reason is.” Mr. Owens continued, “Well neither really matters.
