rest of lunch we grilled Abbie for more information about her new boyfriend. Nearly an hour had passed and we still had questions for Abbie. But by that point we were just delaying the work we had left. Grudgingly we all got back to work. The three of them worked on getting the boxes unpacked and I went back to work unloading the van. I knew I only had a half dozen more cartloads to go. An hour later, I delivered the last cart of boxes. My body ached like I couldn't believe. Even on weightlifting days when I hadn't lifted in weeks, it didn't get this bad. The kitchen cupboards were filled with dishes, drawers were filled with utensils, and the counter was speckled with appliances. “Wow,” I muttered. “Impressed?” Abbie asked from behind me. I turned to see her in a different change of clothes than she had been in earlier, and her hair was still wet. She now wore a pair of skinny jeans and a top that showed plenty of navel. Clearly she had taken a shower and put on a new set of clothes. “Yeah, you ladies are amazing!” “Well we couldn't have done it without you bringing us all the stuff. Without David here, I was worried we’d have to help you carry stuff.” Abbie lowered her voice to a whisper and asked. “You don’t think that Sophie really sucked off the pizza guy, do you?” “No idea,” I said, unwilling to tell her my suspicions. “Well, even if she did, I’m glad you had someone to help you besides us girls. I’m going to go get some booze for us to drink. You want anything to ...
celebrate?” She asked. “Cherry Coke?” I shrugged causing a rolling of the eyes. I suppose I should explain that I don’t much drink alcohol. Even though I’m not on the same medications I used to be, I still shouldn't drink much. Doctors explained to me that my medications caused the alcohol levels to increase by about four times the actual amount of alcohol consumed. After all, prescription medications and alcohol also lead to some messed up dreams, and of course blackouts. “Fine, a Mike’s Hard. Just one though!” She waved in acknowledgement. “And thanks for the help, you ladies did great!” I shouted after her as she closed the door. “You didn't do so bad yourself, Mr. Muscles.” I turned to see Clara who was less dressed than Abbie. She had most likely just gotten out of the bathroom. She had a towel wrapped around her body, but unlike Abbie, her wet hair was tied up in a towel to dry. Needless to say, Clara looked astounding. “Love the outfit. Where’d you get it?” I teased. “Shut up.” She smiled. “You have to take the moving van back to the rental place right?” I nodded. “Can you stop by my place and pick up a set of clothes for me? I forgot to bring something to change into after we finished unpacking.” “Uh, sure. I can do that.” The thought of going into her apartment made me nervous as well as excited. There was just something about being in another woman’s home when she wasn’t around that just seemed forbidden and arousing. Stop it, I chastised myself, don't be a creep Felix. ...
