    found some of her make up and did a pretty poor job of making myself a black eye and a few drops of 'bl**d' . Oh well id tried at least. I called a taxi and set off. It was a short trip to the pub and I was soon outside, suddenly feeling a bit daft dressed as a rugby player with dodgy make up! I took a deep breath and enrtered, fortunately the pub was fairly empty but this didn't help. There was not only a lack of people but a lack of fancy dress too. I didn't see anyone I knew but then a guy at the bar looked round and caught my eye and waved. I recognised him as my uncle Alan, that and the fact he was dressed as some sort of Ninja Turtle! so made my way towards him, 'So you decided to join us then, I'm glad, Carol (my mom) was upset when she turned up, you being her will cheer her up I'm sure' 'Where is she mate' I asked and my uncle gestured toward the smoking area outside the back of the pub, 'You know your mom, always has a fag with a drink'! What you having anyways? ' 'I'll have a larger thanks, I'll just go and let mom know I'm here' 'No worries. I'll wait here for you both,No one else has turned up yet so I'll probably just have there's and then go back to mine for the party proper' 'Ok, see ya in a minute' and with that I turned and headed towards the garden area. As I made my way it dawned on me I had no idea what Mom was going to be wearing, I needn't have worried.     hunched under one of the heating lamps they have in these smoking area, and it was quite obvious why. There was Mom, or more correctly to them , there was a woman dressed as .. well I couldn't decide at first other than she looked amazing! As I approached she saw me and waved, one of the guys with her turned and almost went to block my path. I was a bit taken a back but that was nothing compared to what followed. Pushing past the guy who was in my way mom grabbed my hand 'Hi Hun, I was wondering where you'd gone!' Her voice sounded nervous and she leaned towards me as if to give me a normal greeting kiss. Moving toward her I sensed something different. I was right. She reached her hand to my neck and pulled me towards her and kissed me. Not a mom son kiss but a full passionate , tongues and all moment. I was dumbstruck and went to move back but reaching for me again mom moved to my side and whispered in my ear 'Please just go with this, I can't get rid of them, I was waiting for Alan to come out, you just got here first so the plan changed' The 3 men were looking at me and the one who blocked my path spoke up first 'So your with this bit of arse are you, lucky sod, she seems up for it, from what we've seen' They moved away and then it was just me and mom. Looking at her properly now I could see what had drawn them to her. Mom was about 5ft 5, and slim without being too skinny, but what always caught people's attention was her hair , red and shoulder length, and today curdled ...
