turned me around. “Molly, there’s nothing to worry about. It’s only coffee isn’t it?” “Sure, yeah... sure, it’s only coffee.” I tried to smile but I was feeling nervous again and I’m sure my face must have looked twisted and ugly. Why was she even there with me? We stepped inside and I turned the light on, before racing around the room picking up books. “Oh, I’m so sorry about the mess Katie. It won’t take a moment to clear up.” “Molly, don’t worry about it,” Katie said again. She took my hand and pulled me towards her. “There is nothing to worry about.” She leant forward and placed her lips gently against mine and kissed me softly. I was quite breathless by the time I had finished and I returned to the lounge room to find Katie sitting up one end of the lounge with two steaming cups of coffee on the table. “I forgot to ask how you like it,” she said, “but I figured you looked like a milk and one sugar girl, you’re sweet enough already.” I giggled and sit down on the lounge. She moved to pick up her coffee cup and wriggled a little closer to me. “Better not sit too far away”. We talked for a little as we drank our coffees and I enjoyed the feeling of her thigh pressing against my leg. Oh my god, a thought hit me again. Maybe I should have gotten changed out of these jeans. Katie kept smiling as she looked at me. “Are you worrying again, Molly?” “Yes,” I admitted. She was just so lovely and perceptive. “Well don’t.” She put her cup down on the coffee table and took mine from my hand. “It’s just us, you know, and there is no need to worry about anything.” She kept saying that, but I couldn’t just stop after a ...
