was a small price to ease her worry. “And don't forget to smile! It's your best feature, when you let it touch your eyes.” Ever since his father died, Andy was his mother's sole focus in life, making sure he had the best of everything she could afford, which wasn't much, despite the airline settlement. Bad investments and market advice from his father's early retired broker had seen to that. Now it was six thirty, and he had half an hour to go three blocks to her house. His mother obviously had something to tell him, but it had taken her all afternoon to work up the courage. All four sat on the wooden kitchen table chairs that had been placed around a card table, set up in the middle of the room. Mr. Rondhealy dealt out a hand of cards. “The Game is draw poker, and we'll be playing partners.” he said. “Since it's partners, the couple may combine their hands.
