If she was pregnant, Sam's scholarship could be in jeopardy and if she lost that, Sam would have to drop out. Carly hoped that Sam could figure something out soon, track and field was beginning their season in a couple of weeks and practice was starting even sooner than that. &#034Sam. What are you going to do about your scholarship?&#034 Carly asked, no longer able to hold it in. Sam took a bite of her cheeseburger. &#034I was thinking about that.&#034 She said. &#034The season starts here in two weeks and is over in May. I think I can go this season. As long as I don't show, and you don't say anything, it should be alright. It's not like I'm boxing or wrestling or something like that.&#034 Carly didn't know what to say. She didn't know if that made any sense or not. She figured Sam was right, it wasn't as dangerous as it could be, but then again, it wasn't as safe as it should be. &#034That could be dangerous.&#034 Carly told her. &#034Maybe. If I was 8 or 9 months along, but I'm only a few weeks, Carls.&#034 Sam said noticing the worry in her best friend's face. &#034Look, at my next appointment I will ask the doctor what he thinks okay and if it's not safe, then I will figure something else out. Maybe I can get redshirted or something.&#034 Carly's mind was put at ease. &#034Good.&#034 Carly watched Sam eat. &#034I hope your k** likes all the food you like otherwise you could get sick.&#034 She said with a teasing smile. &#034I hope you're right about that too.&#034 Sam said in between bites.
