Jackson thought the closer we got to graduation the closer we got to our relationships expiration date. He was worried that as soon as I went to college I’d meet someone new and dump him. He was going to stay in our town and get a job with his older brother towing cars. The second he heard that my plans changed, he changed his and volunteered to move with me.     that waiting for hours on end could make you so hungry. When I finally got into her large office she got up from behind the desk and hugged me. She then grabbed me by the hand, led me to the couches and started talking. We talked about Minnesota, my hopes and dreams, and how her agency could help me achieve them. “I think you have a bright future,” she said. “The first thing we have to do is get some headshots.” “How much is that going to cost?” I asked. “Nothing,” she said, “the agency will cover it.” “Whew,” I said. “I’ll have Ian make the arrangements,” she said. Three days alter I had my headshots and Maureen was setting up meetings. I thought they went great, but nothing materialized. This went on for two months. Things at home were getting worse. Our finances were dwindling. Jackson was unhappy that I wasn’t bringing in any money. Our sex life was becoming non-existent. And to top it all off we argued all the time. I was about to take a job waitressing at The Cheesecake Factory to help make ends meet when I got a call from Maureen to meet her at The Urth Café in Venice.
