    neither realised the implications. later they all three sat at Joe`s table over breakfast having been relieved by the farmers sons, when the subject of **** was on the local radio news, Jay said “he thought **** was abhorrent though he did get frustrated for the want of a woman but he would never lower himself to f***e.” Pam said that “she had always been worried about that when she had been younger, not so much now her figure having gone, but it had always been in her mind.” Jay quickly said “her figure had not gone and she was a fine figure of womanhood,” which caused her a blush and to thank him for the comment saying “you must be very frustrated to look at an old maid like me.” To which he replied “he may be frustrated but she was no old maid and any man would find her attractive” Joe now laughed and said in a teasing way that “Jay has the hot`s for you girl, I would offer to share you but as I don’t get much now myself I doubt if you would be interested!” she laughed at his quip and smacked him playfully on the shoulder saying “he wouldn’t want this old maid after a sexy piece like Hanna, even if I were to let him!” Jay retorted that “she was not to be too sure” and that was greeted by a strange look and the encouraging delivery of more bacon to an already heaped plate.
