We're more than just a simple collection of skin and synapses reacting to one another, more than the blackness sweeping over after a star's collapse. After a constellation enfolds, you are the burst of light, existing only in a space of seconds, to cover me with your radiance and the vapors lacing the still air. The beauty we make together may not stop time's violent bloom from splintering into us, or halt where we drift to afterwards, but it is an engine meant to last beyond here. To endure where only you and I can hold on to the forms and geography we shaped together. Anything less would be the equivalent of chasing every star falling at once, each explosion through the vast above a glittering wheel of silver needlepoints. We're more than just a simple assembly, a collection of veins and bones serving as the cables and roads delivering what we'll know, more than the fatal flare overtaking a constellations final pulse. After a universe collapses into itself, you're the last luminous space of seconds, bursting and covering me in glows, as I breathe in our vapors and remember, that you have always been the quiet sentinel watching over me. The love we've created together may not stop time's violent bloom from surrounding all we are when fleeing bodies that cannot last. Whatever spiraling energies we become and join as, they will endure as the compass, the unique geography we shape together. Anything less would be the equivalent of mapping entire worlds alone, each continent under this vast glittering wheel of silver needlepoints, a nexus I can see through if I have to leave first And patiently wait as the quiet sentinel always watching over you.
