    originals in a large manila envelope, and five of the copies in another. She then went and pulled two sets of the forms from the store’s supplies and grabbed three pens. She went and found a desk that was unoccupied and set herself up. She put the one good set of copied forms in one of the baskets, then the two sets she had pulled on top of that. She took the two manila envelopes and put them on the clip board she carried around, covering them with the sheets where she made her notes. She punched in and waited for the next customer. Her first three customers were lookie lous and she got rid of them as soon as she could once she determined they weren’t buying. It wasn’t until her fourth customer that she made a sale. It was not large, but it was almost equal to the entire day yesterday. She continued snagging as many customers as she could, even persuading a few of them to use the store financing option when they made a purchase. When she went in for her lunch break, there were some new dirty plates and garbage lying around, but it was still fairly clean. However, the garbage bags were still next to the door and the smell was seeping through the bag. She sprayed them both again, finished her lunch and went back out to the floor. Other than Andrea, no one else had yet to make an effort to introduce themselves to her, so she was not going to make the first step. Chapter 5 On Wednesday, there was a note on her locker to see Mr. Harris. She punched in and went to his office. “Are you the one who cleaned up the lunch room yesterday?” “Yes sir.” “Well, it was unnecessary and I hope you don’t expect to get paid for it. The cleaning crew comes every Wednesday, so it would have been cleaned tonight.” “No sir, I did it on my own time. There was an ant covered bag in the locker I was assigned and all the tables and chairs were dirty and sticky. The garbage smelled so I just thought that I would put it in some bags and seal them up so the odor would be contained.” “As long as you don’t expect the company to pay you or reimburse you for supplies, that’s fine. Now I understand you had a number of sales yesterday.” “Yes sir, though there were a fair amount of lookers who did not make a purchase as well.” “Hey, if they come in here, they need or want something, so you just have to try harder to find something to sell them.
