Every summer, almost immediately following the end of the school year, the Chase family went camping in the woods about two hours from their home. Sure, they could afford to take a more extravagant vacation. They had been to Europe over spring break, and besides, Mr. and Mrs. Case enjoyed being in a place where their kids, Makayla, 16, and Scott, 17 would be forced to be away from their i-pads, i-phones and all of the other electronic gadgets that had, as of late, stifled their communication, and made them less social. The weather the last week of June this year was unusually warm, which was nice. Camping in the cold is never fun. On Sunday night, the evening before they left, the Chases packed up the car with the tent, camping stove, and all of the supplies they would need for the week. There was a grocery store about 30 minutes from the campsite, should any emergencies arise, but they (at least the parents), were looking forward to surviving with what they had, and communing with nature. She had a love of “being one with nature,” and truthfully, she knew how sexy her body was, and she liked to show it off. The car ride to the campsite was rather uneventful. The kids got in the last few hours with the electronics, before they were out of range of reception. It was quiet in the car except for Makayla humming along to her music, and the occasional conversation that revolved around whatever the top sports stories were on the radio. Mr. Case did the driving, and Mrs. Case was the navigator, and decider on issues relating to if anything was needed at the last store they would see for the week. When they got to the campsite, although the trek from the car wasn’t so bad, it took several trips carrying the supplies to an area where Mr. Case thought it would be suitable to set up the tent. He and Scott carried all of the heavy equipment, while Mrs. Case and Makayla unloaded the supplies and the tent components once the men had brought them to the site. It took a few hours to set up the equipment, by which time everyone was ready for their first meal made with the camp stove. It was quite an adventure, but the weather was beautiful, the stars were out, and the family was just excited to be out in nature. After dinner, the spent time doing something ...
