strange mix of apprehension and excitement. Until now, only hints and small pieces were joined together for transition purposes. This would be the first glimpse of the show in it's entirety. Lighting, sound, costumes, orchestra, props - it's truly a magical feeling when the bare stage is transformed into another era. It's a noisy time: last minute instructions from Mr. Fickle to the stage hands, sound and lighting directors yelling from their respective control boards to the stage, the dissonant sounds of an orchestra tuning. Then, just as seven o'clock hit, there was a peaceful silence. Mr. Fickle was a master when it came to his staff starting on time. Finishing was a different story. To him, it was finished only when perfected. He said nothing as he looked around the auditorium, but his eyebrows raised and a little smirk appeared as he nodded to the conductor and sat down. Her mind was racing through the whole dream but in slow motion. She said nothing. She just rose from her seat and walked through the large double-doors. The clanking of the lock made her jump, also reminding her of the night before. "You okay? You seem a little jumpy tonight." "I'm okay. I'm just a little spooked by a dream I had last night. Would you mind walking me home tonight?" She was surprised by the ease at which the words spilled out, knowing she didn't open up to many. "It's a beautiful evening. I can use a nice ...
