I spotted you across the room; your wide smile drew me in. I watched you for a short while, your face, your eyes, your grin. Your eyes sparkled in the dim light, your rosebud lips wore pink. Your hair danced when you looked my way I caught your eye, I winked. A wink is such a simple thing, yet made you notice me. If you would care to be my friend, I would grasp the chance with glee. Our friendship has endured throughout disagreements, shouts, and pouts. It has only made us closer. I loved you, there's no doubt. Glad I looked for a friend that day and not for a lover. Friends first, then lovers will always outlast any other. One nighters are a waste of time, no substance, purely lust. A lifetime of love just for us, each other, we must trust. My dream is to have you with me. Mine, for eternity Wake up to you every morning. Please say you'll stay with me. And so we travelled together, the long hard roads of life. Those hard roads were made easier because you were my wife. We'd not have much ...
time together, we did not know that then. When the time came for you to go, I held your hand again. You smiled at me, took your last breath, I knew you had left me. I thought about that first time when I saw you smile, you beamed. Your eyes sparkled in the dim light; I knew you were for me. So you are gone and I am left, now what happens to me? I'll go home now and wait until I'm next to you once more. I knew I would love you forever, when we were wed, I swore. Now it's my time to come to you, you hold my hand so tight. I smile at you, take my last breath, We slip into the night. We ride upon a shooting star, The night air in our face. Again, we will be together. Two hearts merged in one place.
