    tickling her face. ‘I look forward to it. Goodnight baby,’ he kissed her back and they separated to opposite sides of the bed. It wasn’t too much longer when Reid’s steady breathing told her he had fallen asleep and despite the tingling between her legs that their conversation had created, Beth soon fell asleep too. ~ The next day saw them both up early as they were taking the kids on their first ever camping trip. Beth had received the new tent for Christmas the year before, and with Christmas almost upon them again, Beth had put her foot down and demanded a camping trip within the year. They had planned and packed and crammed as much stuff into their family wagon as possible. Both kids were strapped in and jumping with excitement, not realising they had at least a two hour journey before they actually made it to their camping ground up the coast. ‘Will there be sharks?’ Will asked excitedly. Beth’s five year old son had recently started school and had a fascination with plants and animals that could kill you. Beth indulged her son’s morbid curiosity, even so far as buying him a Venus fly trap plant for his last birthday. ‘No sweetie, there are no sharks. It is a lake, so it’s just fish,’ Beth explained. ‘Piranhas?’ Will piped up hopefully. ‘No!’ Beth replied but couldn’t help smiling at his enthusiasm, ‘Just regular fish. Hopefully you and dad can catch one and we can cook it and eat it for dinner.’ ‘Ew gross. Can’t we have tacos?’ he replied making a face. ‘Taco! Taco!’ ...
    his sister chimed in, picking up on the familiar word. At almost three, Molly was an utter copycat and mimicked nearly everything her older brother did and said. Reid chuckled as he buckled his seat belt and put the car into gear, reversing out of the driveway. Beth flicked through the CD case and chose a mix CD of songs she knew the kids would like. She popped it into the car stereo and the top forty music filled the car, both kids immediately wiggling and dancing in their seats. She hoped they would be this enjoyable for the whole trip but didn’t count on it. ~ It was about an hour and a half later, after a brief stop for morning tea and toilets, that both kids fell asleep in the back, Beth glancing at them in her vanity mirror. She spoke quietly to Reid,‘You know we can’t do anything this weekend right?’ Reid sighed, ‘Yeah, I know,’ he gave her a sidelong glance, ‘which is such a shame after last night’s conversation.’ Beth felt herself blushing again. Being that they only had one tent and the kids would be sleeping only a few feet away, they had both come to the unspoken decision that they wouldn’t be having any sex. It was simply the life of a parent. They reached their camping ground and got to setting up, Beth getting Will to help her unpack the car and corralling Molly so that she didn’t run off. Beth finally finished unpacking most of the equipment and turned to watch Reid finish setting up the tent. It was a warm day and Reid had worked up a sweat, she couldn’t help ...
