as she moved down the hall away from my door. She must have been talking to my Uncle Hank (Her brother, and Carmen's dad) I listened for another few moments before my curiosity got the best of me. I walked out of my room and down the hall in search of my mother. It took me a minute to find her, she was sitting on the front porch with the cordless phone up to her ear.
