In his heart he knew and quickly recovered to his normal positive frame of mind, vowing to himself to thoroughly enjoy the next forty-eight hours with this angel of his dreams. After finishing perhaps a third of their meal the love birds agreed that they had had enough and wanted to get on with their enjoyment of the city. Dave led Jill out of the restaurant and to the nearest place where they could catch a water taxi that ran up the Chicago River and out to Navy Pier. Navy Pier has all the normal food vendors and other amusement attractions so normal for this type of venue. However, a couple of things make it unique. On the far east end of the pier is a huge ballroom that is utilized for various events. The Steve Harvey Show, based in Chicago, recently hosted speed dating with a couple of hundred couples. It has also been the site of a number of political gatherings, business meetings, fashion shows, etc. Near the west end of the pier is a Ferris wheel standing one hundred and fifty feet tall. There have been many a romantic couple take advantage of this unique method of seeing the city from a taller perspective on this very slow moving ride. The seating is fairly secluded. When Jill and Dave took their turn, as the wheel stopped and started with each new customer taking their seat, about half way up Dave leaned over and took Jill in his embrace and kissed her in a most salacious way.
