    she’d gone. The band stopped, the lights came on and everyone went to the dance floor, and held hands i a big circle. Opposite us were another group of locals and one woman seemed to be missing her husband. We did the old langs syne and they were looking over at us all the time. As soon as it stopped she came over and asked something of some of the girls and stormed off to the ladies. Then there was an almighty shouting session and out comes her husband, trousers around his ankles and his wife screaming and shouting at him. We all burst out laughing and one of the other women came over and said that we better get in there as he was shagging one of our group! Seems that’s where Claire was. As we were singing in the new year, Claire was shagging it in! and now a cat fight was going on. She’d ripped off Claire’s top and was going for gold. some of our girls went in and rescued her. Needless to say things came to a rapid end once Claire was out and we all left, en-mass. By far the best new years in a long time!
